A strong vending location is not defined by a category name alone. It has a reachable audience, a clear convenience need, workable placement conditions, and economics that still make sense after every route cost is included.
Build a focused prospect list
Start near the route you can service consistently. Offices, repair facilities, apartments, manufacturing sites, hospitality properties, and other workplaces may be worth evaluating, but the specific building matters more than the category.
Ask operational questions first
Learn the number and schedule of regular users, public access, competing food options, preferred products, existing vending service, decision process, and expected commission. Then inspect power, measurements, signal, security, and delivery access.
Present a service plan
Explain the proposed machine, initial product approach, payment options, restocking process, issue-reporting method, and how changes will be handled. Avoid promising sales results you cannot control.
Use a written placement agreement
Document the placement, commission definition, electricity, service access, responsibilities, term, and exit conditions. Confirm local legal, licensing, tax, and insurance requirements for your business.
